Buying a Puppy

CONDITIONS OF SALE & GUARANTEES

The Seller (Piet-Zyn-Drift Boerboels) warrants that the implanted electronically detectable identity chip as described in the documentation supplied, and as verifies the puppy purchased.

The Seller further warrants that the puppy supplied has been bred from the parents specified and described in the documentation; all particulars of the puppies parentage, ancestry and physical characteristics are warranted as being correct in terms of the information provided by the breeding association which records the said information. Furthermore, the Seller warrants that all veterinary certificates relating to the puppy purchased are supplied in good faith and that said certificates relate, to the best of the Seller's knowledge, to the puppy supplied.

WE GUARANTEE "PICK-OF-THE-LITTER" PUP IN GOOD FAITH - OUR WORD IS OUR REPUTATION.

Whilst Piet-Zyn-Drift Boerboels undertakes that all puppies or adult dogs sold or otherwise supplied to buyers are from the parentage and ancestry described, and that the supplied descriptions and certificates relating to such parentage and ancestry are provided in good faith, no guarantee whatsoever can be given by Piet-Zyn-Drift that the puppy or dog so supplied in terms of this agreement will conform or comply with any standard, whether physical or otherwise, which is evidenced or implied by its parents' ancestry or lineage. All purchases of Boerboel dogs from Piet-Zyn-Drift Boerboels are regarded as contracts entered into by both parties in full knowledge, recognition and cognisance of the foregoing conditions. It is an express condition and agreement of the Contract of Sale that no liability whatsoever will be attributable to Piet-Zyn-Drift for any latent defects arising in any puppy or dog subsequently to its sale and shipping by Piet-Zyn-Drift.

WHEN BUYING A BOERBOEL PUPPY, WHAT MUST YOU BE AWARE OF?

There are a number of things you should be aware of, namely and in particular;

Ensure that you buy from a breeder who tests his breeding stock for hip dysplasia and prolapse.
Stick to the best known bloodlines - if you don't know what they are, ask us or any other reputable breeder - ask as many as possible!
Ask to see the family tree of your pup before you buy, and obtain a guarantee that a registered birth certificate with one of the reputable associations, will be issued by the breeder when purchasing your puppy.
Make sure that your puppy will be implanted with an identifying microchip bearing a unique number which can only be read electronically, before his leaving the kennels.
Ensure that all identification papers are sent to you under separate cover before the puppy is dispatched. This ensures you obtain guarantees of what you have purchased.
Make sure that the Seller requires that you enter into a stipulated 'contract of sale' which will lay down the obligations of both parties. This way, you will know and understand what the breeder is guaranteeing you, and you will have recourse against him if he defaults.

The current export price for a Pick of the Litter Boerboel male or female puppy, is US$2,200. (Price includes shipping costs).

Freight and export related costs are for our account.

Please note that any import duties, tariffs, or charges payable at the point of destination, should any of these apply, are for the buyer's account.

At the conclusion of the agreement, you will be required to make a deposit of 50% of the purchase price. You must arrange for a telegraphic transfer to our bank. The outstanding balance must be paid into our bank account at least one week before the date of departure.

Upon confirmation by our bank that the balance of the purchase price has been received, your puppy will be transported by air to the destinations International Airport you have requested.
